As the sisters continued to share their work, people became more curious about Japan and wanted to experience the culture firsthand. As a result, Marico and Toshie created the “Ichieshu Trip to Japan,” which highlights “衣食住” (clothing, cuisine, and architecture), along with other integral aspects of the culture. On these trips to Japan, we visit regions that represent both the traditions and contemporary interpretations of Japanese artwork, food, and landscape. Traveling to the main island, Shikoku island, and Kyushu island, we visit local artists, World Heritage sites, and other cultural treasures.

We believe that one of the most wonderful things in our life is meeting people. It brings us joy to engage in an artistic, cultural exchange between the East and West. We are grateful to share with you a unique, spiritual, and fulfilling journey illuminating Japanese culture and traditions.
